Why we shoot Condado Beach.

The Atlantic on one side, high-rise hotels on the other, and a boardwalk that glows pink-gold in the last hour of light. Condado is the easiest location in Puerto Rico for resort guests — and one of the most surprisingly editorial when shot right.

01You can walk from any Condado hotel to the shoot location in under 10 minutes. No rideshare, no parking stress, no schlepping outfits.
02The beach has three distinct scenes inside a 400-meter stretch — open Atlantic, the lagoon at La Concha, and the rocky outcropping at Dos Hermanos. Three looks, one location.
03Public beach = no permit. No access fees. Shoot sunrise, sunset, or a post-dinner blue-hour session without any paperwork.

Best time

Golden hour (1hr before sunset)

Golden hour — the 60 minutes before sunset. Late spring through summer, sunset lands between 6:50 and 7:15pm. Winter sunsets happen earlier (around 6:00pm) with a longer, pinker twilight — our favorite window for styled sessions.

Logistics & permits

Public beach, no permit required

We meet at Ventana al Mar, walk west toward La Concha and east toward the Dos Hermanos bridge. The whole session happens within a 10-minute walk. Wear flip-flops; we'll shoot barefoot on the sand.

What to wear

Warm neutrals (camel, bone, olive) and ocean-friendly tones (navy, pale blue, soft coral) work against the Atlantic blues. Flowing fabrics catch the trade winds — if you own a silk dress, this is the beach for it.
