Two decades, one island.
We met in San Juan, got married in San Juan, and somewhere between Lilly's first professional makeup gig and Kiko's first wedding, realized our jobs fit together better than either of us did alone. On Vacation Photography is what happened when we stopped trying to keep them separate.

The 45 minutes before the shutter starts clicking are the ones nobody else protects. Pinch of powder before the wind hits, lipstick reapplied at the halfway mark, one stray hair tucked mid-laugh. Not as an upsell — as the reason the pictures come out the way they do.
After 20 years of weddings, we stopped fighting the fact that every couple asked "can your wife do my makeup?" We rebuilt the whole studio around that question.

2005
Kiko starts shooting weddings in San Juan
First Canon 20D, first reception, first full night with no sleep.
2008
Lilly becomes licensed hair stylist & MUA
Trains under two Condado salon directors; runs her own booth inside 18 months.
2014
The duo starts working weddings together
Lilly handles the bride's prep, Kiko handles coverage — clients say they've never seen a smoother "getting ready" hour.
2019
On Vacation Photography launches formally
The vacation-portrait niche emerges from hotel concierge referrals that keep outpacing weddings.
